In-Mould Pressure Sensor (IMPS) Equipment
The IMPS range and readout units have been developed specifically for accurate pressure monitoring and control in RTM and Resin Infusion moulding processes.
IMPS can be used to provide in-mould feedback control to Ciject® Injection machines.
A range of fittings are available which allow sensors to be mounted through the surface of a composite/metal mould or into a vacuum bag.
IMPS Readout Units
The IMPS readout unit is designed to provide sensor power and display pressure reading in bar
Standard features include:
- 85VDC - 240V AC supply
- Digital LED display
- Units available with single or multiple inputs (up to 8 inputs)
- Selector switch to choose which pressure sensor output to display
- Includes output to a Ciject Injection machine which allows multi-sensor control and switching
- 3A relay output (NO) with adjustable trigger level
- 0 - 10VDC analogue outputs for data acquisition
RS-485 Option:
- Additional communications module for RS-485 output
- Can be added to all readout units as an option
- Can be used for controller configuration
- Can be used for signal output (1 channel at a time)
- Transmission line connection: RS-485: Multidrop, 2 wire
Our standard settings are:
- Modbus
- 9.6kbps
- 8bit
- 1 stop bit
- No parity
If you require different settings please specify at point of order:
- Supported protocols are Modbus, Compoway, Host Link (FINS)
- Supported rates 9.6/19.2/38.4/57.6 (Kbps)
- Communications data length: 7 or 8 bits
- Stop bits: 1 or 2 bits
- Parity: None, Even, Odd
- Synchronization method: start-stop synchronization sensor
- Communications baud rate options: 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200, 38400 or 57600 bps
- Communications code: ASCII

To specify the part number for an IMPS Readout Unit including an RS-485 output option, use the part number followed by a hyphen and the option number. E.g. XE-0053-02 specifies an IMPS Readout Unit with 4 sensor inputs and the RS-485 output option.
