Composite Integration is proud to have supplied the National Composites Centre (NCC) with a sophisticated Ciject Two injection machine to complement the existing ‘closed mould’ capability of the centre.
The machine was used for the first time to deliver the epoxy tooling resin into the infusion of the complex mould structure of the Rogers designed ‘Class 950’ series race boat currently under development as a showcase for rapid design and build techniques.
The process was watched with interest as the first large scale infusion process to have taken place at the NCC and the infusion was completed successfully and efficiently. Data from the process was recorded and will be used to further optimise the infusion strategy.
